Welcome to the FarCry Fortress Beta 
Thank you for joining the beta program for FarCry Fortress (5.0). During this program, we will be posting builds for you to download and test, as well as soliciting feedback on the product functionality. New builds will be posted on an as-needed basis, and we request that you always stay current on the latest build.
Your opinions, participation and feedback in the beta program are tremendously important to the quality and success of the FarCry community!
Objectives
The objective of the program is to ensure that we get community feedback on the quality of the release and to discover any new bugs that may have been injected into FarCry. Please test your projects to ensure existing FarCry solutions work correctly and that there are no compatibility issues.
In addition, we're hoping to test the significant feature set being introduced as part of Fortress. Please take a moment to read through the Fortress Test Plans for areas to test, and feel free to contribute your own test plans.
Installation & Upgrading
Both SVN and pre-assembled bundles of the FarCry CMS will be provided periodically for beta testers. Please check the Fortress Installation guide regularly for new releases. Announcements will be made on the farcry-beta forum.
We have built a comprehensive updater to migrate 4.0 applications to 5.0. However, several superceded and/or deprecated tag libraries and functionality have changed in the 5.0 release as part of ongoing refactoring. You will need to ensure that your project is up to date before migrating to 5.0. Details of deprecated code and advice on tracking and making required changes is provided in the Fortress Installation guide.
Feedback
Your participation in this process is vital to the success of this release, and we encourage you to be as active as possible in reporting any issues that you may find. All discussion will take place via the farcry-beta Google Group.

It's important that bugs get tracked against the beta "version" otherwise your issue may be missed; Fortress (beta).
