Configuration

There are a host of options under the Configuration menu which are available to farcry administrators. These options allow farcry users to leverage functionality offered by 3rd party providers from within the default installation of farcry.

WYSIWYG Editors

Under the Config Files menu item administrators can view and edit which HTML WYSIWYG editor will be used by content contributors within farcry. Note that the default editor upon installation is TinyMCE.

As of version 3.0.1 the following WYSIWYG editors come with the default installation of farcry:

Editor  Website
 Version  IE (PC)
Firefox (PC)
OS  License Distributed with Core
 eoPro      Y N
 XP Commercial No
 eoPro4      Y N
 XP Commercial No
 eWebEditPro  http://www.ektron.com/    Y N
 XP
 FCKEditor  http://www.fckeditor.net/    Y Y
 XP
 HTMLArea  http://www.htmlarea.com/  3.0  Y N
 XP
 soEditor  http://www.siteobjects.com/
 2.5  Y N  XP Freeware No
 soEditorPro  http://www.siteobjects.com/
   Y N
 XP Commercial No
tinyMCE  http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/    Y  XP LGPL Yes

Clicking on any of the editor links will bring up configuration options specific to that editor.

Under the 'general' item administrators can set a lot of the more generic farcry configuration options including the 'richtexteditor'. To change the rich text editor simply enter the name of the editor you want farcry to user. e.g. 'FCKEditor'
